For a museum, the expositions are above all means of communication. The visitor is always the most
important person. A museum unable to communicate with and capture the interest of a visitor and establish a
dialogue with him has not fulfilled its mission.
As part of its regular activities the Ethnographic Museum of Algarvian Costumes promotes and maintains exhibits in
order to transmit knowledge and familiarity with we would like to call local culture.
Thus, in addition to its permanent exhibits, the Museum presents a new exhibit every year where the texts, objects,
and oral traditions provide ways of studying the identity of the region.
