The Thursday Group, formed 4 years ago, meet every Thursday afternoon in the Museum. The group is open to all who share a love of their homeland, either those who were born here or those who have come to live here. Sharing memories, seeing long gone places again, remembering family & friends- even though only through photographs, makes us feel good about ourselves, about our community, about our land... It was through photographs- in those albums which we all have at home-that the idea came about of us all coming together, of creating an immense album to include all the people & families of Sao Bras de Alportel and surroundings.
Afterwards, in our weekly meetings, we were also able to add all that had been stored in our memories for so long.
